The Rhinoflex duckbill


The Rhinoflex duckbill check valves are a very reliable and an excellent, affordable substitute for flap-gate valves as well as other check valves. The straightforward one-piece design and reinforced rubber construction remove the mechanical and metal components that rust and seize in conventional flap-gates. These are made to order, one way , non-return check valves, created from a variety of elastomeric rubbers, and built as per the application along with the line pressure and back pressure concerned. These come in all standard pipe sizes, and typical application is back flow prevention and downstream of the pump, at pump stations.
 
The Rhinoflex Duckbill Check valves are passive-reactive devices requiring no external mechanisms or power source to operate. The Duckbill Check Valve is normally closed and definitely will react and open with as low as One inch of head pressure try to provide maximum flow with minimal pressure drop across the valve. This simple operation reduces standing water in sewer pipes where mosquitoes and other pests can thrive.

Their all-flexible construction will pass large objects without blockage yet offers exceptional back flow prevention and will even seal around trapped solids with as few as 1 psi of back pressure.
 
Ideally, the conical concentric design permits the top flow hydraulics, and lowest pressure drops. These can handle quite well water volumes and weights preventing backflow very reliably and consistently, without any maintenance at all.
Typical applications are for Open Launch of flood control, water-waste water, storm water, flood water, in to a manhole, bubble-pit, pond, lake, dam, or sea.
They may also be used within the back flow protection against Effluent ,Sewage, and  Sewerage systems.
The duckbill check valves are successfully used in sub-sea applications for example outfall diffuser systems, and in AIR Aeration, in SPARGE diffusers in Effluent Mixing tanks and slurry mixing systems.
